Scott Kirchner

2016 - Third place in the National Hammer Dulcimer competition was awarded to 63-year old physician of Internal Medicine by the name of Scott Kirchner of St. Louis, MO. Perhaps we should refer to him as Doctor. This was his first year at Winfield and the Festival, but he has attended and participated in other festivals like Mountain View. He has been playing the hammer dulcimer for around 9-years. In addition he also plays the piano and the harmonica. When not doing his work as a Doctor of medicine, he enjoys bicycling and doing volunteer work with the Boy Scouts of America.
