(as of 2011) Bradley Ellis is an 11-year old 6th Grade student from North Carolina. This was his first time to Winfield and this contest. Brad won the competition in Kentucky and that prompted him to come to the Walnut Valley Festival. His first dulcimer came from his grandfather who built it for him. Brad is a quick learner as he has only been playing the dulcimer for about three years. He also plays the piano, guitar and banjo. Perhaps in the future you might find him entering these competitions. His efforts netted him a 6FHCRB Dulcimer from The Dulcimer Shoppe/McSpadden Mountain Dulcimers of Mountain View, AR.
