Les Gustafson-Zook

Years at Winfield:

Les Gustafson-Zook, of Goshen, IN, has performed for coffeehouses, festivals, churches and concerts. For a number of years Les entered the International Autoharp Contest and in 2001 placed first in the contest held at the Walnut Valley Festival. His wife, Gwen joins him on many occasions. Gwen plays guitar and sings both lead and harmony as they form an entertaining and energetic folk duo. They emphasize family entertainment, with a combination of stories and songs that keep all ages entertained.

Their music reflects values gained in years of work with the Mennonite Central Committee in locations including Atlanta, Denver, Portland, and Kingston Jamaica, doing relief and service work with the Mennonite Church. Besides performing music, Gwen and Les make up an effective worship/resource team, leading singing and speaking for church retreats, conferences and camps. Combining music, storytelling and multigenerational group experiences, Gwen and Les have been a highly sought after duo.
