Whenever I was roaming the west part of the Pecan Grove, Shauna Khonk would scout out music for me. Sometimes, she'd tell me about a group that “you just gotta hear” even before they arrived. One such group was Jeff and Vida. This acoustic duet is based in New Orleans and, according to their web site, they were on their way to perform in Ireland when they stopped at Winfield.
One of their campground neighbors offered to accompany them with his bass. I've seen many basses in my life, but have never seen one with a sound chamber like this one. It does work, though, as you'll hear in the sound sample.
