About The Herd …
The Herd is a group of local citizens who often camp together at Winfield City Lake. During the Walnut Valley Festival, they camp together in the Pecan Grove. During the week from Land Rush until the stages open, it's possible for some of these people to continue working at their day jobs, coming to the fairgrounds during their hours off work. It was 11:00 p.m. and Ben Russell had just come home (to the Pecan Grove) after working the evening shift when he recorded this song for the project.
